Senior High-Altitude Guide & Mountaineer (NIM Certified)

Jeetu Danu is one of the most respected and skilled high-altitude mountaineering guides in the Indian Himalayas. A certified mountaineer from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), he has successfully summited numerous challenging peaks and passes including Pindari Glacier, Sundar Dhunga, Kankata Pass, Bali Pass, and Gaumukh Tapovan. He has also conquered the Sundar Dhunga Khal and currently serves as an Instructor at NIM, inspiring the next generation of climbers. Known for his calm decision-making in extreme conditions — what mountaineers call a “Mountain Call” — Jeetu is the definition of leadership and courage in the wilderness.

Kishan Rawat

Certified Trek Guide & Storyteller

A certified guide from ABVIMAS Manali, Kishan Rawat is known for his profound knowledge of mountain history, folklore, and Himalayan culture.
His storytelling ability connects trekkers emotionally with the places they explore, making every journey a cultural and spiritual experience. Kishan’s gentle guidance and local insights add a special charm to our treks.

Masiha Purushotam

Field Operations Head & Expedition Manager

Known as the soul of Himalayan Derive, Masiha Purushotam is a multi-talented Guide, Cook, and Expedition Manager who brings life and harmony to every trek. He has summited Bali Pass, Black Peak Base Camp, Rupin Pass, and Kedarkantha, and is known for his deep knowledge of Himalayan herbs, flora, and bird species. Having
completed his Nature Guide Certification from Uttarakhand Tourism, Masiha blends traditional Himalayan wisdom with modern outdoor expertise — defining the very essence of our mountain hospitality.

Sanjay Singh Rawat

Lead Trek Manager & Senior Expedition Guide

With more than 60+ treks successfully completed across India, Sanjay Singh Rawat brings unmatched experience and versatility to Himalayan Derive. He has led expeditions to Black Peak, Bali Pass, Har Ki Dun (60+ times), Ruinsara Lake, Bharadsar Lake, Sarutal (10+ times), Borasu Pass, Rupin Pass, Kuari Pass, Kedarkantha (100+ times), and Dayara Bugyal.
As a Guide cum Operations Manager, Sanjay ensures that every trek runs smoothly and every participant experiences the Himalayas safely and meaningfully. His field expertise and leadership make him one of the strongest pillars of our organization.

Rajat Rana

High-Altitude Guide & Sports Coach (NIMAS Certified)

A certified mountaineer from NIMAS Dirang, Rajat Rana is not only a professional high-altitude guide but also a National-level Shooter and Kabaddi Player. He has successfully completed multiple expeditions including Kashmir Great Lakes and other challenging passes. As the Sports and Fitness Coach at Himalayan Derive, Rajat brings physical training and team spirit into the wilderness, making every trek both adventurous and athletic.

Sachin Rana

Finance & Operations Head

The foundation of Himalayan Derive’s operations lies in the capable hands of Sachin Rana. As the Finance and Management Head, he oversees all administrative, logistical, and financial aspects of the company.
Beyond his management expertise, Sachin is also an experienced trekker, having completed several high-altitude treks including Gaumukh Tapovan, Rupin Pass, and Bali Pass. His vision and discipline ensure the company runs with precision both on and off the mountains.

Pradeep Rana

River Expedition Head & Professional Rafter

Pradeep Rana is a certified River Rafter and Expedition Manager, leading all river-based adventures for Himalayan Derive. He has successfully conducted river expeditions on the Bhagirathi, Ganga, Saryu, Kali, and Yamuna Rivers, managing logistics, safety, and training for each journey. Himalayan Derive proudly stands as one of the few organizations in India that operates both mountain and river expeditions.
Just like mountain summits, our River Expeditions explore the entire length of rivers — from their origin to confluence — combining rafting, camping, and wilderness exploration for 3 to 20 days, depending on the river’s course.

With years of experience in mountain hospitality, Ajay Rawat is known for creating hearty, nutritious meals even in the toughest terrains. As both a Cook and Assistant Guide, he ensures trekkers experience authentic Himalayan cuisine while staying energized for the adventure ahead.
