Overview

Borasu Pass Expedition – Trek Overview

The Borasu Pass Expedition is a challenging high-altitude crossover trek in the Indian Himalayas that connects the lush valleys of Sankri in Uttarakhand with the remote Baspa Valley of Chitkul.

This expedition passes through the scenic Har Ki Dun Valley, alpine meadows, dense pine and oak forests, glacial terrains, and high mountain camps before crossing the technical Borasu Pass at 5,450 meters.

The journey is known for its raw Himalayan beauty, remote camping experience, and dramatic transition from the Garhwal Himalayas to the Kinnaur Himalayas. Trekkers experience untouched wilderness, traditional mountain villages, and breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks throughout the route.

This expedition is considered one of the most scenic and demanding crossover treks in India, suitable only for experienced trekkers with strong endurance and prior high-altitude exposure.
